I would give her a little bit yes, will she eat it without the broth? If so I would probably try that first, maybe 1/4 cup at most to start then watch.
You can warm it up to make it more palatable.

Also, jennifer, thank you for taking an interest. I just haven't had her n a bland diet yet since I have had her. this past 48 hours has been the first time I have not fed her multiple foods and the wrong ones at that! So, I will do the right thing by this puppy, I am a conscientious pet owner and have been for over 40 years. i just don't throw my money around. If it turns out all she needed to do was this quiet her tummy diet and I spent over $100 for nothing, I would be mad. But if she goes a couple of days before I take her to the vet, and she needs to have the parasite medicine, great. Right now she doesn' seem to be suffering, and I would never allow an animal to suffer needlessly.
I really appreciate your help and concern

Okay Jennifer, I will try the warm rice gruel and small amounts, she is only 9 lbs so I might just try the 1/4 cup now. Should I give more before bedtime?
Thank you again and yes, if you know of some good vets in town, I would like to know hwo they are, they would be a good value for my money.

I hope I didn't come across as if I though you were neglecting her
And the offer to recommend a vet, was simply because I really really like mine
Any dog with an owner feeding raw and taking the time to find these answers is a lucky pup!

No, I took no offense. I kinda feel bad that I haven't taken her, but truly, i haven't given the bland diet a chance, and money doesn't grow on trees. I would like to know about a vet who understands raw feeding, I have 3 cats to move over to it as well. I am really thankful for your help

Thank you. I have 3 cats and one is 19 yo, I doubt she will move over, but if I grind her food, who knows. She sure likes it when I give her canned fish and cheese. The other 2, maybe. One has an allergy, I am thinking that moving her off of kibble would be great for her winter skin.

Jennifer and Connie, AN UPDATE, Yesterday my pup ate 6 Tbls of rice gruel and drank unlimited amounts of baited water. She had many potty stops for the water, and this morning produced 2 small turds. They were totally stuck together and dark. The baited water I gave her was essentially broth. I started out with chicken on sunday and halfway through yesterday I switched to hamburger broth because I couldn't thaw my chicken quarters out fast enough. That's it.
This morning she ate another 1/4 C of gruel and had little water. I am going to take her on a mile walk in a few minutes, she'll probably be thirsty after that, since it is summer in OK.

Yay!
I would keep with the broth and rice for at least another day before adding in a small amount of boiled skinned chicken.
Go slow

I want to go slow. boy do I ever! I think the fact that I never went slow with her is a big part of how we got into this mess in the first palce. I have had her 17 days now and so far I have just hopped, skipped and jumped her from diet to diet. This fast has produced the first good stools so far, I must be on the right track!
I fed her again 3 Tbls of rice and some broth at 10:30, she ate it right up. She has had no more stools . I will keep my eye out on her all day. How often should I feed her today?
