Your misunderstanding a little about what Aaron is asking. Credentials would be something documented verifiable like Mel has titled x amount of dogs in various sports and venues over a 20yr career and is the training director for 2 chicago area obedience clubs that have competed successfuly in different levels of formal obedience. He attended the Tom Rose School and after graduating completed the xyz course at the Triple crown Academy.
Since becoming the head trainer for the Chicago Police Depts 25 dog k9 dept he has etc...
Accomplishments like that would put something on file and theres no disputing it.
I'm not saying anything in regards to your friend, he could be a great trainer. But claims and testimonials run wild in dog training. There have been quite a few "Worlds Greatest" that have passed through here.

I didn't say he was the worlds greatest trainer though. I said in my opinion he was a good trainer and good at what he does. Very relative and opinionated statement I know.
As a matter of fact, your other friend has some credentials listed under training there on his site. Lol.
Yeah Steve stays up on his website a bit more. I see that even his is out dated.
I will have to rib him a bit about that on Sunday. LOL.
All in all I hope the OP finds a good trainer if that is what he wants, regardless who it is doing the training.
I just offered the two people I know that might be able to help him.

Its no big deal Dave. I just thought I'd explain where some of the skepticism comes from. The worlds greatest stuff is just me kidding around. Its not the trophy either, its proving it where it was verified thats the point.
Marginally, the lack of H.O.T always raises and eyebrow or two.
However, I don't know a damned thing about how the WUSV operates.
What is H.O.T and WUSV?
I don't know anything about how Bite-Sports are ran. I have seen Schutzhund shows. I understand what they are doing on the field. I understand the score system.
But, I do not know anything about the titles you get and how the record keeping works.
Other then helping out Steve and trying to learn a bit more about dog training in general, I have tried to steer clear of things like Schutzhund in the dog world.
I am not a competitive person at all, I don't have to be. And, I don't do politics. Of any kind ever.
So with that said Schutzhund and the people involved in the sport is not a group of people I want to stand around with and chit-chat with all day. Lol.
