Wow your pond sounds like a pool. Actually it sounds like you do way more work to keep up your pond than I do on our pool. I do NOT swim in our lake. It's not deep enough for my liking and has a mucky bottom. Plus I have a stong aversion to goose poop! Kids love it, I opt for the chlorinated pool. I'll swim in larger, deeper lakes and reservoirs. I love the ones you jump in and as you go deeper it gets colder. That's very refreshing!

For fun I make (and drink) wine. Play with my 2 hives of honeybees (they are fun to just watch too). Groom and ride the horses. Read. Spend quality time with the dogs. Go to auctions on weekends and buy lots of crap. Snoop through the crap I bought and see if I have any "treasures."

For fun I drink wine sent to me by Kelly.
Who else has had cranberry wine? It's as refreshing and nice as hard apple cider, another "adult beverage" that is wonderful for non-beer-drinkers at BBQs and pool parties, etc.

I breed chameleons and a few other reptiles and propagate some corals. I play a little guitar and harmonica, but am not very good at either and stink trying to do both at once. I get into phases of nutrition and weight-lifting, and then drop it for a while; usually from a nagging injury. And I love to cook. Besides that, I try to work with customers problem dogs, usually for free or trade-out. I really enjoy making a difference that keeps a "bad" pup in it's home. I used to foster, but since I had a one-sided fight between Rose and Shortie (when Shortstack lost her puppy license), I've been hesitant. My Mom has 60ish beehives and I've tinkered with making mead, but it seemed to take at least a year before it tasted good! FWIW, her colonies have really suffered in the last few years.

Bees are doing great!!! Put a super on the Minnesotas and the Italians will be getting one soon. I should have a decent honey harvest for two first year hives.

Connie, if you like the Cranberry, you will really like the Apple/Cranberry sweetened with honey that I just bottled. I will get one off to you soon

Hmmm...I love to hike and kayak, but don't have my own so I don't get to do it as much as I'd like. I like camping when it's cooler and less "buggy".
I used to ride (horses) a lot but haven't since we've leased out the horse.
Love to paint and sculpt; better at sculpting by far and I enjoy it much more, but I still have days when I prefer painting. I love to write, of course.
I used to love my garden when I had one, though I could never be accused of over-weeding. My last one was "tornadoed".
Love to be a 'night crawler' in town and check out the local bands. I used to do it much more than I do now but I still love it. I LOVE music, and prefer it when it's loud, in my face and live. Also loved to sing in a choir, but haven't done that in awhile.
I love playing "Battleship" with my daughter
HATED mowing the lawn. Probably because I've always had a couple of acres to mow but only have a walk-behind mower.

??? Super on the Minnesotas and Italians getting one soon? Help! I have NO idea what this means... I only do chickens, not bees. Must translate.
HOW RUDE to speak of all the yummy wine being shipped across country without sending some to the ENTIRE forum! (actually, I'm not a wine lover, but if you ever start fermenting Rum, I'm your girl! LOL!)

When all is well, the pond is like a car - get in, turn the key, have fun. When it isn't working well, you want to KILL it. (Last weekend I did have a hissy fit and threaten to get a tractor and plow the damn thing under... But it was 105.4 at that time and cooler heads prevailed.)
Goose poop is a definite turn off! I want a swimming pool so badly, but it probably is not in the cards. I would love one however!

I play a little guitar and harmonica, but am not very good at either and stink trying to do both at once. If I try to utter the smallest of words when I'm playing everything goes to hell. I get into phases of nutrition and weight-lifting, and then drop it for a while....... I feel like I really know you. You are me. I actually stuck with it for an entire year this time around.
