Connie-
Here is the link on Hokamix. http://www.naturmix.com/pages/products/hokamix.html
Where I am I can only get chicken that has been cut up, whole turkeys, chicken breasts without the ribs and with the ribs, cornish hens without gibblets, drumsticks-Is it right that drumsticks should be later when they are older?
What about beef ribs?
I went to the link you posted and that really helped, THANKS!! I wondered if chicken breasts with the ribs was okay.
With this information from all of you I feel ready to take on the raw diet. Sooo many people can't be wrong and for those that might be critical of those that feed raw, they are just misinformed, IMO.

Are the small hens ("Cornish hens") reasonable? They are lovely for puppies and small (toy) dogs, if they are reasonable. Once in a while I can get them for a dollar, and then I stock up for the two small dogs.
I do save drumsticks (weight-bearing bones) for after the dog has full production of bone-digesting enzymes, but many folks feed them all along.
Bone-in breasts are probably spendy, but fine (as you see in Jessica's post) ... you might use dark meat poultry or maybe red meat for added muscle meat after you have progressed beyond the one-item-RMB-and-perfect-poop stage.
The Hokamix is just a powder that can be put into their food and is rich in many vitamins and minerals and herbs.
This link might be better http://www.dogtownusa.net/hokamix.html
The cornish hens are around $3.99. I think I will try the bone-in-breasts first. He did fine with the chicken wings- he has had 3 total before the "pudding" episode- and that wasn't the cause of it. Still not too sure what it might have been. I truly think I was overfeeding him. Poor guy!!
Connie-
Hello!
I have purchased family pack chicken thighs, family pack chicken quarters and a family pack of cut up chicken breast with ribs, drumsticks, wings. They also had family pack drumsticks, but I might hold off on those until I see how he responds to this order. I will freeze them into smaller porportions for easier mealtimes.
Just re-packaged all the chicken for Kaiser and he is set for awhile!!
The leg quarters look like they have organ meat too??
Now I get to learn the anatonomy of a chicken!!
Those ought to keep him busy for a day or two!!
THANKS!!
