He was TICKED Lisa!
This mushy rice thing isn't going over too well, either. He still walks over to the food tub, and noses it. Eventually gives in and eats the rice.
Today is the 3d day of rice. I'm going to wait at least 2 more days on chicken and rice before introducing 1/4 cup of his food again.
Slow and steady wins the race! (I hope, I spent waaayyyyy too much money on the last dogs intestinal issues/allergies. I'd prefer Koe stay relatively healthy till he's, oh, lets say 5! LOL)
After 2-3 days of formed poops then add in the kibble - best not to rush and risk sliding backwards and having poor Koenig end up with the runs again...
You must be feeling pretty relieved at this point, I know I would be, with some hope on the horizon!

Hope is on the horizon- I can ALMOST see it!
Especially living in an apartment, where I have to pick up his poop immediately, it's really a drag trying to scoop pudding! I'd started bringing the tea kettle out with me, to wash the remains away.

Absolutely! You want several days' worth of good poops before any change is made, and then gradual, slow, watching the poop after each step.
Sounds over the top, but trust me that it's much better in the long run to do it this way than to go through the same cycle over and over ....
and over and over and... We've already been through 3+ months of diarrhea. I'm done. If I can't get him 'right' on kibble then back to the vet we go for more diagnostics.
