I counted 11 on the second photo - so my bet is on 11!
Thats two of us.
I think you're right, there is one far to the left, you just can't really see the spine or ribs. One of the skulls near the bottom looks a lot smaller than the others... maybe just a runt?
I can relate to wanting smaller litters. One of my Malinois females recently gave birth to 10 pups. We were both pretty tired after that, and really all I did was watch. I'm sure it will be lots of fun for me when they are around 6-7 weeks of age.

I whelped a litter of 10 for someone and it was an eye opener. I could not even move them out to the puppy pen in one group because they all latched on to my legs and bit.
You know how most pups just go for ankles? Not this group, they were jumping up biting and hanging on to any piece of skin they could get a hold of. All of my pants, pj's were shredded.

I got my hubby a pair of special "chaps" for cutting down trees.. might those be helpful in this situation?
ETA... If this is a litter of seven (not) ten or eleven, we are just all hoping for healthy, awesome pups. And Betty, for you, a few cases of your favorite wine.
My father and I used to breed Rottis and I will say 7 was the perfect litter. Hopefully all works out and you have healthy wonderful pups! BTW I live in S. Fla so if you need anything I'm just a short drive away .
Good luck and congrats. Cant wait to see pics of the cute little buggers!
Wow Betty. Fun but OH so much work!
If 5 is the perfect litter just think of yourself getting a twofer. Bacall is the one mommy and you are the two.....;0
Good luck with them and I am sure it will be a relief to get them on the ground.
