I don’t know Mr. Scott, maybe it’s a girl thing but I have no problems with Conan the Barbarian wearing skirts.
Hehe, I would have to agree as well
I also agree with coats as necessities, not as "fashion statements". Yes, I make my big macho dog wear purple (a deep, macho purple) but he is a single-coated dog living in Vermont so he really needs the extra layer. Usually coats designed for warmth don't interfere with the movement of the dog, unlike dog-clothing designed just to be fashionable.
So while my dog likes and appreciated his coat because it keeps him warm and dry, I feel so sorry for dogs who have to wear (often restrictive) clothes all the time because their owners like to use them as dolls or infant-substitutes. That's just not right
I'm also glad that this point was raised.

I'm jealous of all of your cute puppies in their winter gear...my little furnace would overheat laying in the snow shaved....no winter wear for him. He's got booties but with the new ones we haven't quite progressed to getting them to stay on all four feet long enough to take a picture >_>
Do sledding harnesses count as a winter wear?

Loki gets cold, even when it is not really that bad out. He only has a single coat and it is not thick at all. Definitely a warm weather dog.
I have a headband type thing because his ears get alarmingly cold.
When we go outside in anything under about 35 he comes in shivering and miserable.
I also want another training contest so that we can fail miserably, but at least we will have fun trying!!

"Mr Scott"
DANG!
Cmon now all the rest of you.
Conan wears a loin cloth. It's all in what you call it, not what it looks like.
"Dressing up a dog for anthropomorphic reasons"
Do you need a doctor's prescription for that?

Kasey agrees with Scott on the snickering at coats topic. Kasey won't even leave a bandanna on - he throws himself into the furniture until it comes loose and he can grap it with his teeth.
He's also a little scared of the training contest talk - last time this went on he had to learn how to play pat-a-cake and make a fool of himself on video!

For what its worth, when I tried to go to these sites, my security software (McAfee) said there were high security issues with these sites. Dang it... I can only imagine Conan in a skirt.

Oh my goodness guys, I can’t imagine what went wrong with the links. My linking abilities aren’t the greatest but they are supposed to be just simple pictures, certainly not web sites.
And, yes, they are supposed to be of Conan in a skirt, but I swear, they were viewable for all ages. I’ve seen worse on the cover of children’s comic books.
Moderators please remove them if they are going somewhere that isn’t simply pictures of Conan in a skirt. Almost full length too, no loin cloth there.
And I am so sorry for any inconvenience they may have caused anyone. Oh my.

LOL! You quack me up in a wonderful way. My only dissapointment was in not seeing Conan in a skirt - I did not expect nor anticipate anything else!! Who knows why some security software won't allow some sites vs other sites - but we all know you would only post the most appropriate (borrrrinnnnng) of photos. I've just been concentrating on a group of male Irish folk dancers in their kilts. Heheheheeeee.
