i look at it like this... how much of a deer or chicken would be left after a dog got done with it? pretty much any bone they would get in the wilderness they get with me...so.. not much difference in my book.
If you're going to give people feeding advice, you're going to have to give them more than 95/5 meat to bone ratio, followed by "I just give 'em whatever, they're real healthy!"
i think your also forgetting that in my post i said that this was a "starter" diet.. to keep him from getting sick...its easier for the dog to process muscle meat than bones.
and actually on a large animal like a cow or bison..they eat much less bone as they are larger/harder. Ive yet to have a problem with the way my dogs are fed. every blood test they have ever had was normal, the oldest one was 8 and still jumping around like a puppy...so. yeah... ill stick with what i been doing.
im not doging any questoin, your partronizing me.. buy some damn chicken quarters.. WITH BONE... give your dog a big bone to chew on every now and then..and you will be fine... i said 10 times..as long as you have variety, your fine.
Deer hams are also a TON of meat. Ditto for a pork chop. Ground beef has none. Beef stew meat has none.
The meat to bone ratio is still way out of whack.
i fail to see how this makes any sense.. there is the same amount of bone in a deer ham when its in my freezer as there is when its in the wild.... when i buy a fryer chicken...its got just as many bones in it as a chicken a dog kills in the woods.. (minus a head lol)
i guess i dont see the need to overcomplicate things... and i dont feed my dog stew meat, ..just saying
