- Or it might have just been a Scot name that they liked.
Googling "Min Pin" - an outstanding small animal hunting dog (a "ratter", rat hunting dog) with great speed. Perhaps skill set can provide ideas for a name.
what about Neeva? always liked that or Zeva after NCIS agent.
I name my dogs after different things - my ratties are Tatormade Trouble - Tator for Ron White's They call me Tator Salad, the female is a blue and white tuxedo rattie - our favorite sho used to be Crossing Jordan - so playing on names she is Jordan Bleu - like Cordan Bleu. My Rottie is Raven Review - like Raving. The doxie is after Quigley Down Under.
I have a friend whose Mal is named Lynie (might be spelling that wrong) after her favorite beer, and another friend whose little miniature poodle is named Chevas - fits her perfectly.
I guess my next dog will have to be named Bacardi!
We really do need a "like" button.
I've met dogs named Porter and Stout, and many named Guiness. Thought those were clever beer names, but I love Leinie. Must be a Wisconsinite. (The beer is Leinenkugel. Great stuff.) I'd have to name my pup Black Label. .
Boy am I glad I started this a month early... I really don't feel like we're any closer to a good name. Nothing has clicked so far. I remember meeting a female dog with a great name and trying to make a mental note for the future but I already forgot. My memory is awful! I also remember a great thread on here once with a TON of name suggestions but I've been searching in vain!
I've had cats named for other animals, because of the way they act...
I had a Turkish Angora named "Possum" , because he loved to be hung upside down. I had 2 Siamese crosses named "Trout" (the white one) & "Cricket". Trout used to flip, and flip and flip like a fish out of water, and well, if you've ever had a Siamese, you know about Cricket!
