What else is good for an infection? Antibiotics and vet care.
I don't think you are going to get anybody to say any different.
This needs real medical attention.

My wife and her sister are yelling at me, they say I am to blame for everything, for not spaying the female dogs. They want to spay her as that is what vets are suggesting (without even seeing her, or x-rays, vets from California, where my sister's wife lives already know what to do???). I am having a huge family problem because I feed them raw and not spaying them.

To summarize and add my urgent concern:
1. Get this dog on antibiotics immediately.
2. Do not let anybody give her any vaccinations.

Did you Google pyometra? If that is the problem. By the post here, I still can't really tell what the vet is saying.
Here is one return.

I don't know about the benefits or risk of performing surgery on a dog that has this condition. I can't tell you what to do.
But something needs to be done. You can work your family problems out later. At home.
Get this problem fixed first, though.
No alternative treatments. Go with proven methods of treatment.

It has nothing to do with raw feeding.
This dog needs a vet IN PERSON.
Spaying can lead to problems, and so can not spaying. This is NOT the time for family fights.
I too have no real certainty about what the vet or the OP are saying. Pyometra, I guess.
If pyometra, then here's an overview by a large vet practice:

We went to see another vet. We took her blood results and showed it too him. He said that they point to liver problems also, and those are coming from blood poisoning due to Drina trying to help herself by washing away the infection. He also noticed that her skin and eyes don't have any color in them, pointing to liver problems also. I also remembered seeing some blood in Drina's urine a few weeks ago. So, basically, he convinced me that she really needs emergency surgery. She will be spayed in an hour or two (when he comes back from lunch). We are now at home, without her. To me, this is the obvious logic: If a female dog is not spayed, they need to have puppies or spend a lot of time outside. In our case, Drina has a boyfriend/husband, we don't let them mate, but as he is so much bigger than her, they physically cannot do it, it is a struggle for him, but nothing happens. Well, doctor says the she got the infection from him licking her. If she had puppies once in a while, this would not happen. Again, human world causes nothing but problems in the natural life. I blame myself for this, for not paying closer attention to her. Now I gave arguments to my forever panicking and doctor trusting wife and her sister to insist to spay Koko and neuter Droopy, it will be a struggle, every day argument to prevent this. My belief is - if you have to spay your dog, DON'T HAVE THEM. Dogs should have a big yard and live most of the year outdoors. Every other condition is slavery to them, that is what I believe. Basically, I am very disappointed with myself right now, and very much down. I hope Drina lives, but she will never be the same, and I caused that. She is a unique dog (if you pay attention, each dog has their own special personality, and this one I nurtured to be herself). I failed, but I just hope and pray to God that she survives.

I believe you will re-think this when you are less stressed.
If anyone wants to respond to this, which cannot stand as an unchallenged "solution" to pyometra, please do so in a new thread. I can link the threads if desired. *** eta In fact, I will start one. I am thinking this thread is not the right place for it. ***
NOTE:
See http://leerburg.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=313812&page=0#Post313811 for a "litters as repro health maintenance" thread. Thank you.

It's clear that you care very much about her and have done everything you can to give her a healthy life. Things happen, but I don't believe you have done anything for which you should be beating yourself up. You did nothing wrong.
I'm sending a little prayer your way for her recovery. Be strong, positive and confident for her. Dogs really do pick up on our emotions--and she needs your support right now.
