Dark meat and white meat are different and bone content is different. I was saying that since you are gauging poop reaction, I'd prefer to give RMBs the dog had eaten before, so as not a add a piece of uncertainty.

well im just taking it slow with athena. she still hasnt pooped today and have only fed her once today. feeding her second meal wen im done here. only gave her half the chicken she would normally get. hopefully she will poo after her dinner because wouldnt that be another problem...her not going? the last time she went was mid morning or so yesterday.

If she hadn't pooped by first thing tomorrow a.m., I would address it. Always best to stay on top of poop issues and not let them get worse, IMO.
And right now, I would be encouraging lots of water (even if that means some alarm-clock setting during the night) .... water can help the poop movement and won't trigger more pudding like the other fixes might.
Also, do you have plain canned pumpkin? This is a bowel normalizer always to keep on hand.
If you do, I'd stir some (a couple of level teaspoons) into the water (two birds, because it will make the extra water taste better).
ok to the water...i havent been holding it back but also havent given her alot of it either. il give her more now. and the pumpkin, dont have any of that.
yay she pooed!it was only a little and kind of "soft" but formed. with other dogs i've had i fed kibbble and its soft compared to that but normal from what i've seen thus far on raw. thank you everyone again.
P.S.
this is a great site with great users. its nice to have a place to ask a question from the comfort of your own home and dont have to worry about a vet exam bill. very glad i found this site and the dvd's i got. it made me change my whole mindset when it comes, not just to dogs, but all the animals i have from the snakes to the saltwater fish.
