NO JOKE..talk about addictive in only 24 hours! I'll be heading to the sports store this week. MAN I CAN"T GET anything right..sheesh. anything else i should be worried about? dug every squeekty thing out of every toy, no toys left out, rewards when he lets me touch his feet without objecting...no wonder people have dogs with issues..they don't get on this site enough!!
OH but great news!! i met an awesome gal on here a few weeks back and she is going to the club now..AND one member of the club joined on here a few weeks ago too!! you all are catching on in a BIG way! at least down this way. We just moved to TX from puyallup WA last June...so getting to know people hasn't been easy. Esspecially who have dog knowledge. Up in WA there are SO MANY clubs and variety of sports you can do with your dog. Here i have only found 2. agility and schutz. NO herding close by..no french right at all..no mondito (is that how you spell it) no nothing with in 5 hours except those two. SURE am glad they have schutz~! wouldn't mind doing agility either. Is it an easy thing to apply into sch training as well? could it be a good way to build focus, OB, and socialization? or should i just stick with one ave? (i know i'm full of questions)
Stephanie, I might have missed it, but what part of Texas are you in? Our multi-sports club in Dallas does everything from Schutzhund to PSA to Mondio.
It's not that you can't get anything right- don't think of it like that- you're just learning a different (IMO, and most here, Better)
Aww, Crap! You lived in Puyallup? I live in South Tacoma, and another member lives right around here too! There are at least 3 clubs in the area, more if you're willing to drive an hour. Come back!
It's Mondio Ring.
LOL NO WAY!!!
last week it was in the upper 70's-lower 80's NO rain and sunny and nice! winter here was GREAT cause it only lasted about 2 1/2 months of cold (still hardly any rain) AND we got snow! fall lasts forever and there is only 1 month that really sucks due to the heat..but we live on the lake (2 blocks away) so we arn't hurting in any way..PLUS dont' forget housing down here is about 1/2 the price as it is over that way. We acctually lived in Bonney lake (Lake tapps) area. most folks don't know it unless they live there...when i was in my late teens and earrrrly 20s i studied under Pierre LaFOnd at WA K-9 accademy. they did french ring back then (OLD SCHOOL) and i picked up a lot of good info..but 10 times the amount of bad training tech's. then when we got down here (and i could afford it) I decided it's time to get back into what i have always LOVED. TRAINING!! but my methods were very much out of date and that's how i found this place!
Melissa Hau
YEAH!!!!! I live north of dallas..where and when and how can i get to you all!!! i am so excited now!!! i would love more info..do you have a web site i can check out or a phone number or anything? (doing the happy dance)
