IME if a dog won't eat something I would not force it.
Just cause the bag says it's terrific doesn't mean it is, we have all been to fancy restaurants and developed food poisoning. Even if the food is wholesome, it may have an ingredient which he has some negative association with. I'd feed something else, try it again in a week or so.

Yeah it's dehydrated. I can see where the texture would set him off.
I probably did overdue it with the amount

Some dogs don't like to eat. It's the way they are. My oldest dog only ate every day and a half for years - I free fed her and she stayed at exactly the same weight for the 3 years I did it. She eats OK now, but won't eat if she's really stressed. She eats THK, but only if I mix in real meat (she won't eat it by itself or with scrambled eggs) She eats raw with gusto most of the time.
I wouldn't make it a big deal wiht his meals at first and see if he eats better as he gets used to his new home. Put the food down for 15 minutes, then take it up agan and try a few hours later. I would mix some type of meat in it to tempt him a big more. I'd probably go with cooked chicken breast as it is pretty easy to digest.
My other two dogs are vacuum cleaners when it comes to food...

My mal mix was a VERY picky eater, and was dangerously thin when I brought her home. She wouldn't touch food for a week straight, and the vet was actually thinking of tubing her, because you could see most of her bones.
What I found that helped the most was Taste of The Wild. She got fat off of the bison/deer formula, and it didn't take much kibble. I also found that she'd eat out of my hand, but disliked bowls. I did tons of reconditioning training to get her used to objects, and eventually she accepted and then loved her kong and wobbler. She now carries her kong around the house, and will sometimes shove it at me, begging me to stuff it for her.

Although thin, until I got to the third picture (the one taken from above the dog) I really wasn't thinking he looked that thin for a Malinois. The hips look covered in the first two photos, the main thing I noticed was lack of muscle tone.
Some Malinois are hard keepers, especially when they are younger. Their appetites just don't keep up with their energy output. Add just a couple of pounds to Rocky, so the last rib isn't quite so prominent, and he'd look like some of my dogs.
One of the best foods I've found for putting weight on my dogs is Diamond's Extreme Athlete. It's denser when it comes to calories than many foods, without causing the diarrhea that some of the other more calorie dense foods cause. I've got a couple Malis right now who can't seem to maintain weight on anything else, but do well on the Extreme Athlete. I do feed a combination of kibble and raw to my dogs (sometimes as separate meals, and sometimes, I know, I'm horrible, in the same meal) and if I have a dog that I want to put a little extra weight on, many times I'll just add an extra meal during the day. Which is generally either a chicken leg quarter or two, or a turkey back.

Just wanted to give everyone a quick update:
When I came home for lunch Josh told me that Rocky happily ate all the food in his bowl (2 cups of grandma lucys) when Josh held the bowl in his hands.

Hand feeding, or even holding the bowl, can do wonders to tempt them to eat. A sort of 'your stick is better than mine' mentality.

I'm not aware of any pet store here that sells lambs fat! It'd be great if they did, though.
Also the butchers here are 100% against raw fed dogs, and I've been shunned from their stores because I'm trying to 'kill' my dogs and they won't have any part of it.

Try an islamish butcher guarentee they have it and their food is 100% untained since its against the religion. I buy mine from the pet store most of the time, its in a lil conatiner usally in the cooler section. If yuo ask they might have it somewhere hidden. I couldnt fine it either till i asked .Most ppl are so health concious of feeding thie dogs fat that they wouldnt dare but when you think that the average wolf can eat up to 70 kilos per day.. how much of that is fat? and live for decades. a teaspoon per day isnt gonig to kill them :S
My vet has thrown me out of his office many times threatning that i can never come back for raw feeding and not filling them full of chemical stuffs that he wants me too.
