Sometimes very attached, but a lot of them, I would say, just hanging on, where you think just a nip of the scissors would solve it or a tight rubber band so it would atrophy off All different sizes, too, some like a tiny skin tag, some as big as a quarter, that I've seen.
I'll try to find a pic of what I mean...
Those poodle warty growths are something other than allergy. The name escapes me now. Like a papilloma, possibly viral, begins with an h....
Connie will look it up.....!
Histiocytoma? Maybe. That could have an allergic component...histamine....They are itchy, they bleed easily.
Don't remember

Probably. Poodles all seem to get them.
Once I wondered if they were spread by clipper blades because dogs who are clipped seem to have them the most, but I have never seen that mentioned anywhere.
The big one in your photo looks like cancer.
The other thing poodles are VERY prone to is big ol' blackheads/pimples. GIGANTIC pores, full of crap. Ewwwwww.......
I agree Betty, the large on in Cindy's pic looks highly suspicious to me.
The warts that I see most commonly look more like the top photo... but not as irregular. More like a big ol' human wart, no coloration, even edges, round, no discharge. Some do have a nasty discharge.
Bichon's and Cockers also seem VERY prone to them.

Histiocytomas are usually on the face, ears, and legs, right? Yes, itchy and bleed easily. I've never heard/read of them being heritable, but haven't looked them up lately. I think all breeds have them.
