Connie, I'm not the greatest with technology. My son recently got an ipod touch. Supposedly you can transfer a video from that to the computer but we haven't figured out how yet. I'm sure we'll get there at some point.
Thanks for the additional idea Mike. I assume the long line is only to make sure the dog doesn't run off, not to guide her back if she's not coming?
As far as liking the dog. She's not my favorite dog, but I don't hold it against her that my wife decided to get her regardless of my input. It's not the dog's fault.
Email the video to yourself, then open it and save it on your computer.
Don't pull the dog back to you; that will UNDO any desire that you can build for the come. He has to want to come. The long line is so you can give a correction on a refusal (as well as a safety device to keep dog from running off). It reminds the dog that he still answers to you, even at a distance. As everyone else has pointed out, start with many reps up close, then gradually add distance.
