She sure is! I just wanted to add my name to the list of people feeding THK and raw. Works great for my pups. I am settling on "Love" for Rose who is fit and active, and "Keen" for Shortstack, who...well, isn't!

Hey Chip, maybe I should go on a self imposed diet of "Keen" as my husband refers to me as "cupcake"! "Shortstack" made me smile, very clever name for such a cute pup.
Do you also feed chicken backs with THK?

I should add my name to the list as well. I feed THK "Preference" right now. It's the foundation food that you need to add meat to. I am lucky in that one of my fellow Schutzhund club members is a raw food supplier. I get to order all kinds of good stuff from him at great prices. Venison, beef, chicken, all with bone ground up, organ meats, meaty bones, etc. I just get my order from him once or twice a month at training class.
I mix THK with the raw, toss in some yogurt, occasional sardines, eggs, some Berte's blend, salmon oil and E, etc.
I like it because I can rotate protein sources and give him the occasional meaty bone or raw knuckle bone as well.
My pup howls all kinds of crazy as I am getting it prepared for him. He likes it a lot.

I'm another happy THK user. My dogs love it and it's been in my rotation for a couple years now. I've used Thrive in the past, and I just placed an order for a box of Preference, the kind that has to have the meat added. I'm sure it will be a big hit with my two.

LOL on the human/Keen diet! It has worked great for keeping her weight down and actually gets her full. On the grain free formulas, my imposed serving size for her wasn't satisfying. And yes, I feed her lots of raw chicken, though I feed her more thighs or drumsticks than backs.

So, it's been nine days on the raw diet, and I can notice some physical/mental changes in my dog already. Her muscle definition is much more evident. She seems to nap less, and be more vigorous. (which, at times is not a bonus) Also, she drinks less water. I don't have scales here to track her weight, if I link photos, can any of you tell if she is getting too thin? Or, tell me how I can determine this?
My husband asked me yesterday if I thought she preferred her raw diet over kibble? Easy enough to answer....So at dinner, we went through our usual ritual of her sitting calmly and making eye contact, I placed one bowl of kibble and one bowl of raw + THK down at the same time. She made eye contact again, then I said "OK" she made a beeline to the raw dish! Never even acknowledged the kibble. She looked back to me after her bowl of raw, and again I said "OK" ....NOTHING-she sniffed it and walked away to her "place" to collect her treat. Question answered!!!! I only wish we had recorded it. She is used to this procedure as I often use it to determine her toy preference. I will place 3 toys down and let her choose her favorite, then the other 2 are off limits, and remain there as a distraction. She must have thought we were playing that game.

Yes, after the one suspicious lick-session, tastes change forever for the dog. IME, anyway!
" if I link photos, can any of you tell if she is getting too thin?"
One from the side, dog standing, and one from above, dog standing.

How did I miss these pictures?! That "love-my-chicken-back" picture is wonderful! This is a dog who never had a RMB before! LOL
No, she is not too thin in these pics. Can you get a shot from the side with the camera more on her level, with a profile shot, just to be sure? We want to see the tuck-up behind the rib cage.
We want a view like this:

http://www.dogs.y2u.co.uk/photo/rottweiler_dog_profile.jpg
(See how we can see the whole line of the undercarriage?)
Also, is that washable paint? You don't want flat paint on the doorframe or wall right beside the dog's dish. At least not my dogs.
