As a newcomer, this certainly doesn't encourage me to join GWDCA. I'd hate to got to a club meeting or trial and have to listen to this junk the whole time.
There's good people in every organisation Duane. They don't all use Dell low testosterone therapy.

Don't let it effect what you want to do with your dog Duanne! I have belonged to all 3 organizations and trained or belonged to clubs affiliated with all 3 and most of the time if you have a good club it doesn't matter.
At one time I believe both organizations would certify a DVG scorebook, not sure if that's true or not still. The only time that would bite you is if you wanted to koer your dog. And there has been some talk about DVG America breaking away from Germany, I'm not sure how that would effect everything.
Find a good club that you like and it will all fall into place!
I dropped my UScA membership of almost 10 years this time around after the JA stayed in place. I gave them a chance to modify this but obviously they wanted to keep it so this year they do without my money I figure it will be cheaper just to pay the up-charge to trial using my DVG membership and scorebook. Very little except for results was much interest to me most issues of the magazine so no great loss there. Basically most could have cared less I left but and that maybe the UScA isn't for me yadayadayada...but now since they got took to school by the WUSV shoe is on the other foot and keep thinking karma can be such a female dog...

I've had a difficult time getting a rational explanation of why the politics make a difference. Why is it that you take issue with the JA leadership? How does it affect your trialing?
Doesn't have to affect my trialing for me not to like the way the UScA looks down it's nose with the smug and greater than thou attitude much less tell me, a non-GSD owner, who has supported the UScA since the late 80's, what organization I can belong to if I want to remain with the UScA?

Geez... is there noone out there who can discuss this objectively?
Betty;
How did all of this start? Why did members start leaving USCA? I gather that USCA started refusing to recognize the associations and the scorebooks of people who jumped ship (i.e., GSDCA members)?
Keith;
It's totally not uncommon for a parent organization to regulate which other organizations it will recognize as subs. How else could you guarantee compliance with your principles? After all, isn't the stated purpose of the USCA to promote the GSD?
