There is a lot of info that has to be debriefed before any process begins. LE and govt have instituted an Act of War action that will not allow any due process to take place until they have the info they want.
It was extremely important for them to capture him alive, and he must remain alive until his motives and any contacts he might have to terrorist organizations are investigated.
Someone seriously determined to do that can easily get any of the info they desire.
They could get the info if they're already looking. I just don't think it's responsible to basically shout from the roof tops that deadly bombs are very easily made. It's common knowledge in some circles(military) but I'd hate to see it spawn a copycat attack.
I'm a gun owner. I don't blame the weapon at all. I just see nothing good coming out of a detailed bomb description being put out on the evening news.
Second suspect in custody.
Would you build a bomb just because someone told you how?
Just as, years ago, when 60 Minutes showed how to steal a car; the point is to show the public how easily attainable the info and the materials are. Noone who is responsible is going to build a bomb or steal a car just because they saw it on the news, but those who wish to can get the info regardless of whether or not there's a news article explaining how easy it is.
I think it is highly irresponsible to publish the foul deeds of Lindsay Lohan, but the press has a right to do it. I want and cherish ALL of my rights, so I'm not going to trespass on those of others. Saying that the press has no right to publish a story is like saying you shouldn't be able to have a gun or that women shouldn't be allowed to vote.
