Because of this, she refuses to use any treats in training. She's worried she'll "kill another dog".
Baloney. So she doesn't ever feed the dog? Why didn't she have the same objection to feeding the dog a tranq? Did she intend on asking for an injectable? That's just another excuse for not training the pup IMO.

Good news!!!
Angela, my mom and Kaia made the trip to Yellowknife with no problems at all. The medication Angela got for Kaia's car sickness had the unexpected side effect of making her a little groggy so Kaia slept most of the way and didn't throw up once.
Even better news!!! One of the teachers at the school Angela will be working at, takes her dog to the agility class in town and got Angela to sign up for class as well. They take the dogs out walking together every day after class and will be practicing 3 days a week in the other girl's backyard.
With a heavy sigh of relief, I see a much better future for Kaia.
I am so glad she has found someone to help her get her foot in the door for training. PLUS with a walking buddy, the dog will be getting enough exercise! And maybe even some handling tips on the walks.
