It sounds like you're doing some experimenting with food (changing foods and portion sizes). Don't overlook what Connie pointed out earlier; when comparing foods, the term "cups" is useless. Different foods provide different amounts of protein and carbs, so dogs usually consume more or less of one food than they would of another (for this same reason, pricing can also be misleading). One cup of Canidae may be equivalent to two cups of Science Diet.
