If we had advocated the chasing of game that you initially inquired about, other newer dog owners would get the impression that there weren't important considerations for that type of behavior. Many casual dog owners don't realize how much their dog could upset an ecosystem.

I do take offense to people spewing off at the mouth no matter what their qualifications. I'm not a dog trainer and never will be involved in competition. I am a pet owner with a high drive dog that I am trying to find out the best way to care for him.

Then stop being foolish & talking about letting your dog run wildlife for exercise & shooting at someone.

Exercise your dog productively .... utilizing training & obedience at all times to keep your dog safe & happy.

Finally got to reading almost all these posts instead of just reading one or two here and there! :P
Your dog is so beautiful by the way! I cant have sheps because of BSL and such. But i DO enjoy the sight of a handsome one! haha!

Anyways... sorry if people here seem to be acting mean or rude. They are just very obsessed with dogs. They want whats best for them. They don't mean to say things that may be insulting or hurt anybody's feelings. Dogs are just some of these peoples lives, and they sure do live just for them.

Anyways, i have to admit that you are doing good with your shep. Hes really looking good! I can tell your a loving owner!

So, you have issues you need to work on?
You really did good looking up this site! Lot of knowledgeable people on here!
Hope you find what you are looking for on this forum, and keep your dogs needs in mind! Really is a lot of good people on this site! Go ahead and try working with some of the advice given!
