Yes, Fabio, you might want to set up a Photobucket-type account to link us to pics.

Fabio, hopefully the breeder will help you with your choice of puppy.
Often times looking for that first pup can be a big job without really knowing your own abilities at this point in any training.
This breeder sounds like he really cares and should be a lot of help.

Today Freezer arrived 288 Liters, time to order some BARF :-)
8 ) First day with pup
Literally what are the first steps ?
I saw a Cesar Milan video months ago, now that I know Leerburg, maybe some advice ?
I will try to let the pup come inside car by himself and giving him some treats inside the crate, then Ive to drive 2 hours till home.
What you will do in your first day ?
Thanks a lot

Nothing more than lots of potty trips and naps. Let him check out his new surroundings and play with you to his heart's content. By bedtime he'll be starting to figure out where he is, where he eats and (hopefully) where he goes to potty. Then you'll start him on his first night of getting used to his new sleeping arrangements.

Be prepared for pup to yell his head off the whole way home. Mine finally settled after about 35 minutes. I ran the radio on the classical station but I don't think it really helped much.
First full day for us was pretty much just loads of potty trips and nap times but my pup is barely 6 weeks old.

let the dog work thru it's disorientation of losing everything it knows, ie it's mum, it's pack. dog has to know you are it's protector.
always have treats in pocket, every time pup makes eye contact, YAY, good puppy, treat, treat, treat.
puppy waks/runs toward you, call it's name while coming at you then YAY, treat, treat, treat.
build a physical environment where the puppy can not do anything wrong, ie; all electrical leads and anything you do not want chewed has to be removed from puppies reach BEFORE the pup gets home.
don't tell the pup it did something wrong, YOU are the only one that can do something wrong by not creating the proper physical space and environment.

good advice from pete there fabio . . .
i'm not saying cesar doesn't know his stuff , but remember : cesar makes TV shows , leerburg trains dogs .
only thing i'd add , is never give the dog a reason to not believe the sun shines out of your a$$ . . . all the best things in his life come from you .
merry christmas .

etc Yup. This. Be proactive, set him up for success. Stuff that is "bad" are usually just teaching moments. For instance, when he grabs something to chew that he's not supposed to have, throw a party with yummy treats 10 ft away - he'll quickly learn that you always have higher value than whatever he grabbed and will happily trade.
