Candi said
"Here's how I train them to follow the potty commands like Pavlov's Dog:
WOW! Do you really make them drool before they go?
Just couldn't pass on that one.
Christina, there are as many ways to train a dog as there are dog trainers.
I found no need to do it any other way but that absolutely doesn't mean my was is the better way.
Could be I've just been to lazy to go the next step. or just didn't think of it when I started doing it.
I do it that way because I've had success and I would say that Candi has had success with her method.
LOL, the only drooling ever associated with potty breaks might happen AFTERWARDS while hoping for a " good busy" TREAT, which they only get RANDOMLY And even then, Adonis is my only drooler anyway -- As the saying goes in our pack, "Bitches RULE, dogs Drool" !!!

Drooling randomly - perfect! I'll just try the whole story the simpler way and then we'll see. The saying is sweet and ugly at the same time!

Damned, I can put down roots, they will not do it on the spot, where I want and wait with them. I can wander a bit about and nothing happens. I think, they are already too much accustomed, that on walks they can pee or poop, whenever they want. They sniff and search until they can decide where. I would have to make a marathon.
I can distinguish more or less the type of barking when they need to go, but not sufficient. If I'd train my ears and were able to hear from their barking sound, that they are really under pressure, would it be ok to leave them uncomfortable for a little while and go then to the spot???

I let Aries be uncomfortable for a bit, I definitely think it would be okay.
While he was house training he learned that I would get up to let him out anytime of night to go. He started to take that to mean he could get me up to play any time of night!
I let him be uncomfortable by pushing how long he could hold it, and it worked for me.

Christina, I do not combine "potty breaks" with Exercise Walks or Play Time or Training Lessons -- A "pit-stop" is SHORT for the express purpose of Elimination Only .. I give the Trigger Words, they do their bathroom-business ALWAYS in the Designated Area, then I will reward with a treat OR not (randomly) and right back inside they go ... My own time schedule is our master, because I don't have the luxury of fooling around & being late for work or appointments, and the dogs order their own relief routine in line with my Consistent Customs quite quickly

Thanks so much, Candi. But can I expose them to the stress of waiting until they really need urgently? I do not want to put them under pressure. but I think, I will have to do this to a cetain extent. I am aware it is my fault, because I did it like everyone does it here. Only difference:I pick up every poop, they leave on streets, simply because I think it's disgusting to leave it and other people will by adccident step into it.
Old habits, not easy to get rid of.

This I can understand perfectly ... but how ??? Even I do not have the time to wait such a long time until they've done their business.Guess I misseed an important time. I don't want to be impatient with my dogs. But they insist when and where they absolve it. Well, I can live with it, there exist bigger dog problems than this.

Er-r-r-r, no, but the appropriate insertion of an infant syringe worked on my sons when they were babes-in-diapers (tricks of the maternal trade) LOL.
