Ooooh, that's a good one too!
Good engine, too. That's the Soo Line 2713. It still lives (and is displayed) in Wisconsin.
I love those vintage steam locomotives! The NKP 765, owned and operated by the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society, has excursions up to my area occasionally. It comes right down the track that is about a mile from my house. We can hear it coming from miles away, and we jump in the car and drive down there to get an up-close-and-personal look and listen.
One of the best trains songs, ever, IMO:

1. That is THE best train song ever, for me (City of New Orleans)! The new (September) issue of Trains magazine has an article about the song and its author. Thank you for posting that song!
2. I love steam engines too. I'm lucky enough to live within driving distance of the California State Railroad Museum in Old Sacramento. It's great!

Isn't it funny how sometimes, quite by accident, some of us will find out that we share interests totally unrelated to dogs!

That's true, Cheri ... and a lot of that has been on this very thread!

Although I have made road-trips-with-dogs to watch and listen to a steam engine go by! (I'm also fortunate enough to be just a town away from a preserved and still running narrow-gauge RR in the redwoods.) So that makes it a kinda dog-related thing.

Haha!!! Just read about that love for steam locomotives. I too belong to that fan club.
My husband and I rented one to be transported with all our guests to our weddingfeast. Was so funny and romantic. The guests found that little voyage with pre-apero funny too, but most of them said, we must be quite crazy.

In fact - it is dog-related. Two of our wedding guests were dogs, a dalmatian and a poodle. The steam-loc had to stop in the middle of the RR in order to let them out to pee.
