This is just a comment about club sizes and the number of clubs. If I remember correctly, I think Iowa is a large state- at least it seemed that way when driving to Todd's to pick up Fetz the wonder dog <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
So in a large state, what's wrong with multiple small clubs? A club can be functional with just 5 or 6 members, after all. I think the distance that people have to drive for a club is one of the *major* reasons that Schutzhund is not as popular a sport as it could be.
I realize that small but more numerous clubs may dilute the talent available for training directors, but people have to gain experience someway.
