Your thinking with "testing" and "real" bugs me. Want real? go out and get bitten. Just don't do it by me or tell me about it, or write it anywhere. I could care less about that stuff. Ring is where I am struggling at the moment. If my dog ever bit someone for "real" he is off to heaven. I just want the points, and a dog that won't bite the decoy's face. I don't see a "real" dog putting up with our silly crap.
I have seen maybe 30 seconds of a Korung. Why don't you hook me up with a link??? I am computer illiterate, so I doubt that I could find it on my own. I think it's my magnetic wrists.
I am smarter than my dog, your just not. |

THANK YOU for putting things in the correct perspective. Up until these posts, I thought there was just good natured ribbing between the different dog sport enthusiasts. I've been around schutzhund since '81, (I too, remember the nasty split) but have only been on the web since 1/06!! After reading Jeffs' posts, I wonder if maybe someone knows of another web site where people aren't quite so RABIDLY (HAHAHA) against towards us poor old schutzhund people. Just for the record, I think there is a place for all of us out there in dog sport.

There is a place.......I call it the ringsport revalution. My posts are well.... basically passive aggressive in nature.
Just kidding,(not really) If you have a chance to try ASR or Mondio, I think you will like it, once you get past the childish calm full mouth grip thing, oh yeah, you might have to go to one of those feral orange looking dogs (thanks Sammy B)
I actually like all dogs, and the other day, while being generally unhappy about the state of the GSD in general, watched some videos that gave me hope for the breed. Oh sure, they were doing Schutzhund But the entries were off the hook on the courage test....or should I say, long grip
This actually made me happy enough to not notice the very Mal like features these dogs carried.
Over all, right here is a good place to be. Just don't mention BilJac dogfood, or Von Munchausen's and it's all good

I wish there was a better relationship between Ringsport and Schutzhund. We really could use the trial fields!

I tried to find out where the heck I went, but I am really sad at this whole computer thing. I go from link to link and always end up wondering how to get back. If I find them again, I will write down the address. I have to get better at this eventually right????
Here in Lovely Colorado, we ringers live quite happily with Sch people. Most of the people in my club come from sch. I am a CONverting fool! Of course if I keep bringing people Charlie is gonna kill me.

I do Mondio, but these dogs would probably do better in FR in my opinion, except for my GSD, but he is a AmShow fluke. I think they would get away from him and then the exersize would be over.
