You know ,my dogs will bark at anything they feel they need to bark at.I am not going to try to figure out if it was justified or not.I'm glad they bark period. And when I am out of the car (with them still in it)and I'm in the store I could care less who they bark at or not.The purpose is that anyone that gets too close will know that there are dogs in the car. And for the ones that think they can still a part or break in to my car well, they'll know to pick the next car.Yes sometimes it's annoying when they bark at the innocent ones but you can't pick and choose.Judy , don't worry about why and who , let him be a dog
I think your dog is doing a good job and he's young. For the people who want their dogs that bark only when it is told too what happens when you are not in the car?
My dog is so fast to get from the back end to the front of my
SUV that anyone that would jump to the front seats would have no time to get back out. Also you know here in vegas we had some thugs that were stealing womans purses out of their car while the ladies were filling up their car tank, you know how we grab our card out of our wallet and kinda leave our purse in the front passenger seat.Well these thugs figured out that they can rush the car fast, open the passenger door quickly grab the purse and skip.It was happening all over Vegas including a gaz station I use a lot. SO I think a loose dog in the car is the cure.I prayed they would try my car. But of course my dog will rock the car if he gets a hint of anyone looking at the car so I doubts they will ever pick me to rob.But I sure hope when they try anyone else , that person will have a loose dog in the car.
Holidays are here , you bet you are a target of any kind, be aware, keep your dog close ladies!!

I agree. It sounds to me like your dog is awesome, with good instincts. Plus, he's young so he'll likely improve in that capacity as he matures.
Some people even put "Warning: German Shepherd In Car" stickers on their car (even those without shepherds!), but how those stickers can impact you legally varies from state to state. There are Shutzhund stickers available, too. Good luck!
Amber thanks for the "awesome dog" compliment. I needed that . I don't mean to sound picky but he's soooo laid back. But you guys might be right, that he knows just who to bark at and that he still has a bit of maturing to do.
That sticker sounds good. I think I'll try to find it. Angelique your dog sounds awesome. I love hearing what PP dogs do in the course of their day.
Judy,
I always think that I'll never have another like him.I wish I could have made him a stud dog, he has great drives and such a kind heart at the same time.Hard to explain. He is the prefect PPD dog for me, a lot of guys at our club absolutely love Yaggo they say he has a lot of power and you feel his presence and I wish I had 2 like him.My youngest male Bandit is very laid back in the car , he'll snore! as we're going somewhere! with him I'm just letting him grow up , he is such a big baby (97 lb of it).I think your dog has a lot of changes to do.When Yaggo was your dogs age he was nothing like he is today (away from training) mentally , not as strong and methatical. Now he is so mature , he is "Thee DOG " as before for a while I used to call him my oldest teenage boy.LOL
I hope that makes sense
