I linked to a particular page because front and center on that page it says:
Organic Chicken Diet
Nature's Variety Raw Frozen Diet for Dogs and Cats

* Antibiotic-free, hormone-free chicken
* USDA Certified Organic
* Complete and balanced for all life stages

I know, but it can say that if only a portion of the ingredients are human grade.
I just found this site http://www.stevesrealfood.com/ which states that it uses 100% human grade food. Now I'll stop, I promise, it's just such a vast forest of advertising to weed through on these sites and I really am trying!

You're right, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that "USDA Certified Organic" would be human grade. :> That's what convinced me.
But you're right; advertising is so deceptive and tricky, and I too want it spelled out clearly, like Steve's and Oma's Pride and some others I've seen.

Amber, I'd really appreciate if you'd PM me about your experiences with any of these raw suppliers, like Steve's or Oma's Pride, including product, shipping, customer service, etc. TIA!
Thanks for the link. It turns out Natures Variety and Steves are both carried by a local store. My wife went out to take a look and bought two packages of the Natures Variety medallion. My wife wanted to try the medallions instead of the patties. Pricier than either AFS or Common Sense, but no distributors or shipping to deal with.

Yes, my friend who feeds Nature's Variety Chicken also gets his locally (in central Florida). He has been feeding it to his two dogs for a long time now, and they are extremely vigorous and healthy. :>
I use Steve's Real Food for my cats (AM feeding - at night they get chicken soup kibble). The cats love it and look great! I've been using it about 3 months now.
Their dog food is about $2 - $2.50/# at my local store. I've thought about using their food, but I would still add some meat and bones. First, to cut down on the cost, and second, because the dog food is only about 65% meat.
Connie, I just tried again. This time it's titled "take two." My messages has both sent and received messages in it...and you should have still gotten the blinking envelope! Let me know if you get it. Or you could PM me and then I could reply...maybe that would help?
