I think that Angel only registered on this forum to say his piece about his kennel and dogs and his pictures and be gone, because this is the only thread he has posted on. It's a shame.

Keleah why is it ashame? Some people dont have the time or desire to post consitantly on forums, I dont see that as a problem. It seems there are enough people here that have Opinions. It wierd to see how some people are conducting themselves in this thread. If it was my dog i would defend it!

I think Keleah meant it's a shame due to the fact that it would have been nice to hear some more info on Rotties and positive comments on the breed and breeders of Rotties out there.I dont think it was meant in a negative "it's a shame kind of way"
I don't think you need to get so defensive about it

Angel,
I applaud you for trying to be a responsible breeder.
However, I still think that this particular dog is too extreme in type. I do not like his looks one bit. I'm sure there are people out there that do like him but I am not one of them.
His legs are too short and bowed out, head too big for the body, ears and eyes too small, and his back is bowed in. Thank goodness he is healthy.
He looks like he is headed the way of the English Bulldog (who can't breed or give birth naturally because they are so mutated).
Im not totally sure how to add a photo to my post but in my humble opinion (as a person who is NOT a rottie breeder) this dog is more what a Rottie should look like:

Disclaimer: I am NOT a Rottie breeder, judge, or owner. I just think they are nice looking dogs. The above is my opinion only.
Anyway best of luck with your breeding program.

I think the same way about it as you, I like that rottie much better!
People forget what the Rottie is supposed to look like and why, they alwasy try to get the Rottie looking like a bulldog/mastiff type....riduculous if you ask me JMO
I see more over weight Rotts than healthy ones..

I'm sorry if anyone took my last post on this subject as a negative. I'm glad that some people did realize the tone wasn't negative or derogatory. I figured that someone that is interested in a working breed (i.e. rotties, mals, GSDs, etc.)would want to stay on the forum and either help others or ask questions themselves. The fact is, someone on this forum told the breeder that there was some content concerning his kennel and his dogs. I understand that he wants to protect his reputation as a breeder and kennel operator, but to come onto this forum with the only intention to not learn more or help others with issues, then the real question is, "what's the point?" I'm curious about something Mr. Guiterrez wrote about the dog that generated these posts The dog was re xrayed HD-a excellent. Where were these X--rays done, OFA -orthopedic foundation for animals now and have always simply used- excellent, good, fair ratings as passing grades. No A's B's or whatever. There has always been a bit of a jaunticed view of X-rays taken and evaluated in some European countries outside of Germany. A lot of breeders simply re-xray and submitt to OFA, this dog is fairly young,it shouldn't be much of a problem.

This dog isn't in the OFA data base, least ways under that name. I've owned this breed going on 20 years and the dog pictured really has nothing to offer the gene pool conformationally and I'd bet good money nothing to offer to the working side either.

I think he meant he had him re-xrayed over there, before he imported him. Maybe he wanted to be sure the xrays were of that dog?
