We are all proud of your son and the other soldiers who serve our country with responsibility, integrity, and selflessness – but all too often without recognition or gratitude.
Wishing you wonderful moments during your special visit together.
Thanks Ed for the update! It seems about half the country doesn't fully understand what your son and his team are sacrificing for us and for people we'll never meet. Jeff and his fellow soldiers have my undying respect and support.
Should we continue to send pkgs for Green and Rosa? Just don't understand fully the rotation schedule over there...we could have stuff arriving with no one to receive it, or we could send stuff knowing that they'll be back and have some packages get there even after they've been gone and back again...
just let me know, Ed...and thank God for your son and his safety

Thanks for asking, Mike..... my question too! I sent my packages and letters to Rosa, and was going to send the next ones to Green. Sounds like that'll work out, if Rosa is the one coming home on leave.....
Now I have the paperwork down pat: pick up the flat-rate box and the "Customs Declaration" form (both free, and both were there for the taking without waiting in line at the P.O. here) BEFORE you pack up anything, so you can list each item on the form as you pack it, then take the form and the filled package back to the P.O. and pay for the shipping.
Jeff's unit is on a 15 month deployment. They have been there 6 months and we hope they will return sometime next May - a long time from now for a family.
So anything sent to Rosa and Green will be much appreciated.
Thank You. Next year when I go to Ft Bragg to welcome them home I will be sure to post many many photos.
Jeff is bringing 5 gigs of photos home - if some of them can be posted without interfering with "mission security" I will do it.

Thanks, Ed!
So ... we can keep up the mission, which seems like darned little to do for these guys (but I am very glad to have the opportunity to do ANYthing for them).

Let's do more packages!

It was cheap, too. It can be as heavy as you like, with the flat-rate box.
