You say this as if you were offended by what I posted...this wasn't directed at you or anyone in particular it was just a general comment about nerves and some of the issues that can arise from them.

How we get to this? I've followed this thread for a day or two now. From the varied responses in the postings my concusions are that dogs are much like people, they show 'cues' for NOT the same reasons.
While generally, and I iterate generally, dogs seem to hackle for threats, many times they also seem to hankle with an adrenaline rush. So what? Weak nerves is the question, and its agreed, encompass so much more than hackles.
Is there something to add to nerves? I for one find the discussion on 'nerves' really engrossing.

I agree, the subject of nerves is really interesting. there are so many things that play into it, its one of those areas that we probably dont know everything about so its fun to debate (right word? probably not..) about it. for example a dog may have crummy nerves but if its threshold or tolerance is high you may never know.anyways,,,
