I was wondering about bonking them on the head. That's what I remember from fishing when I was younger. I was thinking that'd be harder though b/c they are so small....not very logical.
I would worry with either the clove oil route about getting in tissues as well as with the vodka....don't want the cats developing a taste for the hard stuff
I'm going to wait to see if the cats do in fact take to raw, but so far this is going WAAAAY better than when I tried with the pre-made, and Mitch is actually eating it! He does have some immune system stuff like herpes, but I think he should be okay with raw feeding.
Right, you use a couple of drops to anesthetize them and then add more once they are asleep to go ahead and finish the job.
That why I have never used the vodka, and also why I don't think clove oil would work for this either because of the residue.
From what I understand Freezing is bad if you put them in room temp water and then into the freezer as that is a slow death, the best way is to have slushy semi frozen water, below 29 degrees.
Well, Toby is being most negative about 'more pets'.
I used the 'indoor water garden with fish I can feed to the cats' explanation Jenn gave me but he keeps saying 'NO MORE ANIMALS'....he thinks I'll end up breeding insects to feed to the fish, and then get a lizard to eat excess insects, and then....
the male guppy is always more flashy than the female and smaller.
There are other guppies too (i think the one in the pic are considered "fancy" guppies)
There's a donkey rescue near Toronto and Toby said we can go!!!!! I'm all excited, it was closed over the winter, but it should open again in a few weeks. Donkeys!!!!!!!!
I'd also like a goat, and a llama, and a couple of pigs, and....
Wendy, thanks, now I just need to convince Toby....he did text me about humane killing methods so maybe....but probably not.
