LOL yeah... good for you Alec for sticking around. Usually people have left in a huff by now! They don't like being told they are doing things wrong (they probably wanted to hear the dogs were the ones who were wrong.) lol

You wouldn't believe how many people get their wittle feewings hurt.
Yeah, I forgot to add that this board is about dogs and not so much about the feelings of the owners. I try to temper the bluntness, but Michael is right. Many people join just to be vindicated, and if they are not, they are insulted.
Thanks guys. Nope I am here to learn and hopefully make some friends. I love my dogs and I want to give them the best life I can. I am a sales manager in NYC selling office machines. I teach sales and sales motivation. I learned a long time ago not to take things personally. Besides you guys are trying to help. I am going to be on here so I want you to be brutally honest. If I feel like anyone gets out of line I will let you know...lol

Yeah, or they're looking for that "magic wand" so they won't actually have to DO anything to fix the issues, they'll just wave it over the dog's heads and say, "now everyone will play nice because I said so, m-kay?".
Alec, kudos for being so receptive, and eager to create a more stable environment for your dogs. And please do post an intro with pics - Dakota and Jeter sound like great dogs!
As soon as I figure out how to post the pics I will. They are great dogs and I would have many more if I had the time and the space. I drive my wife crazy because I tell her that once I retire we are moving to Utah to live at DogTown. Going home early so I can feed my dogs the right way!!! Thanks for all the helpful advice. Talk later...
So I went out an bought the Wellness Core. They each got 3 parts SD and 1 part Wellness. I will gradually shift to 100% Wellness. I put them both in their crates and brought Jeter out and fed him first while Dakota waited patiently in here crate. Jeter ate much better. When he was done I put him in and Dakota came out while Jeter did the whiny bark. I put his e-collar on and (never used it) he quieted right down while Dakota ate better than usual. I think we are on our way! By the way does anyone know where I can get a bailout for dog food? That stuff is pricey.
