I admit that the idea of either or both of these dogs being muzzled outside (with an invisible fence that allows strange dogs in) made my hair stand up. I hope that's not the case.
So does the whole idea of a continuous shock at a level that makes the dog(s) scream.

Yes there is training, there are flags that are placed just inside the safe zone and you must work with the dog so that they understand that tone vs the correction.

I never ever leave my dogs outside unattended and running about. I always know where they are and they usually follow me around the yard, so I never considered a continuous shock if the dog were stolen. They have never attempted jumping to jump the neighbors fence, plus jumping the neighbors fence would be outside the safe zone, so they do not ever get close enough to jump it. So that has never been a problem. As I said, they only had to be corrected once and have never left the safe zone again.

Fortunately I was at the tail of the dog when he went outside the safe zone and was able to immediately release the collar. Unfortunately my son had placed the correction setting too high and like I said, I felt horrible and am very happy that the dogs have never had a repeat performance. I also check the collar everytime I put it on to insure that the correction setting is accurate.
