I can see some dandruff like white powder on the both side of his body now. I was thinking of giving him a shower and applying the Resi-cort conditioner which the dermatologist gave to use after shower.(massaged into skin and hair coat after bathing and let air dry)
You can get everything together on a day off and then bag it into portion sizes for each day. I usually prepare at least two weeks of food at once for Nico.
Then I pull out a couple of days worth of portions and put them into the fridge to thaw. I have a shoebox sized rubbermaid that sits in the fridge just for dog food in case any juice drips out of the baggies.
It takes no time at all to pull it out of the fridge and dump it into a bowl with her supplements.
She has no problem with it being a little slushy still sometimes, but If I feel like it sometimes I will put some warm water over it to take the chill off.
If I forget to pull meals out of the freezer then I just thaw it under tepid running water like I would any other frozen meat.
You also don't have to have all that variety at once, you can slowly add it in. And you can rotate things in and out. So even if you feed all chicken for a week, you can then add some beef or fish or turkey or whatever the next week.

How am I going to do that on a daily basis,
Don't forget that the most crucial lack in the present diet is calcium. It's no easier or faster to give hamburger than it is to give proper chicken RMBs. And chicken backs are probably half the price of hamburger, too.
The calcium is critical to all dogs, but for a dog who is still forming bones like this one is, it's absolutely imperative.
Michael, for almost 6 months now. I looked at the website leerburg.com/diet2.htm. How am I going to do that on a daily basis, I leave home very early he is a year old & 70lbs. You are suggesting to feed him once or twice if I follow the website. Please advise.
No, I don't have any books through the site.
I don't have anything to add about the logistics of food prep that Jennifer and Connie haven't mentioned. What they said.
I'd probably still say twice a day feeding for a dog that age. If you want to do different later, that is up to you. Some here feed once, some twice.
There are a few real good threads on the pro's and con's of each.
