Deb, that sounds like a great plan! Wish I had heard that many months back. My 11 month old GSD is MUCH better now, but pulled so much when she was younger. We eventually did use a prong collar. It worked really well for her. I guess spray bottle aside, you have good ideas :-)

My first trainer (not the pinch collar one) called me back. When I told her what happened, she blamed the pinch collar (which I agree with). She said that for the walking, I should use a Gentle Leader. I tried that on him at PetSmart and he completely freaked out with it. I guess I could try it again, but I wish I could just walk him nicely with a cheap old flat collar! I tried a bit of the click and treat with him, and I've got a question. When I stop moving and say "stop pulling", he doesn't try to keep walking, but he doesn't relax from the end of the leash either. What do I do at that point? He doesn't come back towards me and if I were to take another step, he would be pulling just as hard. The trainer didn't really offer any other advice for the fear aggression. She just said to start from scratch with getting him over his fears. She also said that the second he shows aggression for someone, I should just turn around and take him home.

Hi, this is my first time on here so I'm unsure if I should be posting or not. I have a similar problem, except our puppy is small and 5 months old. We have ordered both The Pack Structure and 4 to 8 Months. We live in an end unit town home condo so really don't have any yard to play in. Tucker is mouthing and biting most of the time if he's not playing, eating or sleeping. He "graduated" number one in puppy school and we are using your suggested marker of saying "yes" when he does the right command. He is very good with sit/down/stand and will stay for more than a minute with light distraction. He walks really well in the house, but take him outside and he becomes a puller. I have stopped walking him because I don't want him to think this is how it should be. He has a couple of periods a day where he goes manic, running around and growling and sometimes barking. I have tried holding him as in the video and saying No when he bites but he gets very antsy with this. Help.

I must be blind or not seeing, but all I see on the top blue line is: Forum List, My stuff, Calendar, Active Topics, Search. Where should I be looking? Sorry for being so dense.

Go to the top of the page, click on forums, scroll around till you find a forum that best fits your problem, etc., click on that forum and at the top of that it says new topic with like a little blue paper by it, click on that and there ya go, type away and when done you can preview and submit. (hope thats right )

Pick where within the forum you want to post your question; general conversation, ecollar, SchH, health, etc in each sub-catagory. The opening page of each will have a listing 'new topic' at the top left.
Push that button, start your quarry.
