Is this where they just stay with the dogs in the kennel and keep breeding them? if thats the case she did tell me that is why she is using this other stud dog outside of her kennel cause she didnt want to many dogs being to " close" together or problems would happen like yuo stated.
Watch how focused and engaged they are with the handler and if they can maintain that. Ask to see a retrieve, watch if they really go out after the dumbell and rush to bring it back. And then ask them how they trained it.

Okay sounds good.....Now I will work on finding a good trainer that knows schutzhund really well to tag along with me when checking out her dogs. Since she is using an outside stud i will need to also check him out...which wont be a problem.
As Steve said, the retrieve is an excellent example of obedience. As is the recall.
The dog should return with so much speed it appears as though the dog is going to tackle the handler, only tucking his butt into the sit at the last minute.
While there are a few things I don't like about this performance, the retrieves and recall are excellent, and give a good picture of what you should see. The dog's overall attitude is excellent and his response to praise is evident and shows a happy worker- which is what you want.

Line breeding is as Dennis pointed out intentionally close breeding. Its done to carry on a specific set of traits that is known to be produced by one dog.
In show lines it will generally be done to highlight an extreme physical trait, such as a large head. It is why show dogs end up so deformed.
Working line breeders usually have a goal for line breeding of bringing a specific type of drive or temperament to the breeding. Still, when done poorly it is a risk.
When done well, it may or may not be right for you. It all depends on what the breeder is going for and what you want. That is why it is so important to be able to trust the breeder you end up working with.

Erika can do club level, she was considered a little "mild" when I got her as a eight week old pup. this ought to give you the idea of what kind of drive you need for Sch
