It will be nice to have something smaller than a jolly ball or soccer ball. I'm excited.
Now watch her not like it, the little freak that she is. I can just see it, me kicking the ball to the other side of the feild, and her running back with a crushed beer can.
Tasha likes it best when I kick the ball. She will chase it FOREVER if its rolling, so its a much more effective way to exercise her.
She happily chases a ball if you throw it, but after ten or fifteen tosses she's kind of like "meh.", and she looks for something else to do.
It will be awesome to have something easy to kick that will fit in her backpack.
Same here, Lauren. I actually broke my big toe last winter hitting an ice ball instead of the dog's ball. This thing, this brilliant piece rubber (?) flies when you kick it. http://leerburg.com/1195.htm?utm_source=nlist&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=11022009 It hops and bounces on catching, and it makes the dog really work to retrieve it in the water. This dog toy is an 11 out of 10.
Meridith, I have the smaller Luna ball somewhere. I don't use it much because I was a little dissapointed in its glowiness. Didn't realize that the cosmos came in large sizes, too!
Also, I see they come in different sizes. Can anyone tell me if any of the sizes (without the string, of course) are compatible with the tennis-ball sized Chuck-It ball launcher? I don't have much of a throwing arm, so I'm no fun for the dogs to play ball with unless I have a little assistance.
No, the sizes are not compatible with the chuckit. Chuckit balls are 2.75 inches in diameter. The small orbee is 2.25 inches and the medium one is 3.25 inches.
Great toys, but not compatable (drives me nuts!!) I do love the fact that the chuckit rebounce balls have holes in them so I can easy add a rope for tugging.
Hello!!! Ok, local feed store here has the new colors in stock!! I wanted a silver and pink, but hubby said no pink for a boy dog. Anyways.
Now the reason why I am quoting above is because the Whistle balls or any that is 2.5" does fit in a MEDIUM CHUCK IT launcher without any difficulties.. I was testing it out and nailed hubby by accident in the ..... umm yes you can guess. It was NOT intentional I swear but they do stick just a bit so you have to give them a nice wrist snap to get them out of the Chuck It launcher but not to much otherwise you might hurt someone like I did...
I now know why everyone who has one of these Orbee balls recommends them for everyone who doesn't. Finn has already figured out if he drops it from sitting on the couch it will bounce high enough for hit to head butt it around the living room a few times. Definitely should have gotten them a long time ago. But I can happily say, "Yes, I am on the band wagon now!"
