I have 35 years dealing with protection dogs/police dogs, 25 years dept of corrections k9 unit 15 + as head trainer i have trained with other dept's in problem solving a lot of issues i have corrected aggression problems i dont want to cause problems, but solving this problem is a simple. for me under 15 minutes.
John, I have no doubt at all.
It would be simple for some other members here, too.
We are not talking about you or me or them solving it, however.
And we are not there to be directly involved with the O.P.'s solving it.
I would suggest finding a local Schutzhund club and talking to the members. They might be able to recommend a good trainer. A lot of sport people do pet training as well. Better chances of finding a good trainer soon than starting from the purely pet end of the spectrum.

I'm so confused. Are you talking to me? I'm not looking for a trainer, but if I were I would probably want one who has years of experience with dogs as family companions. Not saying your resume is not impressive; just not a good match for my needs.
Sheila,Sorry i didn't mean you. i was talking about the original 8 month old pup i was giving my resume on aggression problems. sorry for any confusion. i have little patience for young dogs snapping at their owners,

No worries! Call me crazy, but I have a lot of patience for young dogs that don't really get it and act inappropriately. At best, I'm a mediocre handler so its only fair that I am patient. But once I've made it crystal clear to the dog what is appropriate and get snapped at.....I'll come running for your help.
