I would like an English Setter, with a big square head, gentle and loving, everyones friend, elegant and kind.
Orange belton, with dark nose and eye rims, a male this time I think. Or blue. Sometimes I think I might start crying if I just was able to PET one of those again.
Can you get a real dog if you are 61? I'm not sure.
I went to a shelter today. Saw a dog that I am sure is an ACDx, though the tag says huskyx. He had a cropped tail. He was "reactive", came to the Wisconsin shelter from a hi kill shelter in Ohio. He responded really well to the Pinker's candy corn that I had in my pocket.

I'm fundamentally a GSD person...but...
A Dutchie bitch I really like is being bred next year to a mal who I also really like - that's a litter that I am going to have to look at seriously. (aaaarrrggghh)
One day maybe a ds / mal.
I'm also very curious about ACDs and Tollers.

I would love to have my Raider back. Rott x Dobe.
He was all about work, good drive, tones of focus and not too much fur.
Breed not so important to me.
I don't think I have what is needed for a real high drive Mal but I can dream.
And a Sulaki to keep the small creater out. I have a client who have an old one and he is very nice and FAST. He used to do lure racing.

Betty mentioned Blue. I would LOVE a Blue Dutch Shepherd.
My list didn't include Leonburgers, and Rodesians, which it should have.... OR, (something I got to groom today) a Black Russian Terrier. Just for the oddity of the breed.

I want to amend my previous post.
If I could learn how to keep ahead of the intensity, I think Dutchies are gorgeous. I'm just not sure I could keep up with one, though. That may be too much dog for me.
(It's all your fault Kelly and Koenig. I blame the two of you!)

Oh, Betty, I hope so. I sure hope so! I'm not sure I would want to go on if I could no longer have a dog in my life (even though I may have to downsize!).
By way of inspiration to us all, a member of my dog training club, one of the founding members, in fact, just acquired her Tracking Dog Excellent (TDX) title on her current dog. The lady in question is 90 years old and her Golden Retriever is 13.

Yes, one of your white hounds. Or a Saluki.
Once, watching a dog show, a participant had me hold her blond afghan while she took another dog in the ring. Those big dark eyes, silky soft coat I was enchanted. Such grace.

I'm a bit late to this party, but, when I win the Euro millions, and I am in my hunting lodge in the Highlands, (have decided to shelve the croft idea, thinking MUCH bigger!) with my own moorland and a few thousand acres of land, a mature forest and loch to the rear, I would like 2 of Ram's pups please, a couple more English Pointers to hunt with horses and falcons, a couple of deer hounds, a few Boerboel for guarding the perimeter, and 3 harlequin danes to grace the drawing room, then in the evening when I light the log fire and get my butler to pour me a large Vod and tonic, I will wheel Cesar out of the guest wing with Junior and Louis to keep them all freinds while I lounge on my huge, fat leather sofa and watch the Hanibal trilogy before retiring for the night!
Oh, and a shed load of staff to keep the 26 bedrooms and 8 reception rooms swept and cleaned after the dogs have finished running round it....
However, in the racing certainty I ain't going to win a sov, I would like a rescue of any breed to keep me company in my middle age please!
