I try not to allow it but don't know how to stop it. She sleeps in her crate with the door open and usually goes in for an hour or two while the bunny runs loose in the evening and I am on the couch in the same room. She goes in happily enough for a treat but once she hears us leave she starts whining and then barking.

if I throw a bone in with her or treats in a kong they are untouched when I get home. I can down stay her but she just vibrates until she can run around and release all that pent up energy. I don't know how long id have to leave her there til she calmed down, and she usually has to drink tons of water or go to the bathroom immediately.

god you make it sound so easy. She will sit if I ask but the second I release her she's acting nutty, she will wait for me to say ok to come out of crate but shes so bottled up. I should videotape it, its actually beyond me on how to control her when shes like that. Shes not in her right mind, shes like shes a feral cat on crack just let out of a box. Its not even that she jumps coz that's gotten better, but she scratches my feet coz shes just frantic running allover and biting the other dog(playfully). I swear I could yell and beat her and it wouldn't faze her(obviously I wouldn't). Ive tried holding her down and she calms but the second I let go its back to square one. Ignoring makes it worse. Spray bottle seems to work the best so far. As well as making her sit and stay then come, just giving her a bunch of commands to focus on helps a bit too but sometimes I don't have all day. If it wasn't for this she'd be a perfect dog, like actually shes so good every other way.
I do Not see any reference to a COLLAR & LEASH above, Cat (???)
I would NOT let her OUT of the Crate UNTIL that Slip-Lead was ON...
Then Command "DOWN-STAY" On the Newspapers and STEP ON the Leash near her Neck to KEEP her DOWN -- Mark Compliance & Reward It...
Immediately CLEAN her PAWS off, then Heal Her OUTDOORS For Exercise !!! These silly shenanigans you are allowing this K9 to get away with in the house, are not something I would tolerate from any Adult Dog, but that's just me
