Curtis,
Get stationed at Warner Robbins in Macon, Georgia and you could come down and train with us!
We love Military guys, they make the *best* decoy's......because they have free medical care...
And I have *just* the dog to start you out on for your introduction to using a bite suit.....
Yeah Will, I bet you do have a good dog to use on me while I learn to be a good helper. I haven't seen the pictures yet, but I am sure your dog is pretty tough. How far are you from Warner Robins? My boss just left Korea to go back to Warner Robins and another guy here in my shop will be there in a few months. That unit deploys a lot so if at all possible, I will avoid that base. I love to be with my family so I want to be at a base that doesn't deploy a lot. This first 4 months out of a year have been really rough for me and my family. I guess I am a good husband and dad because my wife and kids really miss me. I might end up at Ft. Gordon, Augusta, Georgia one of these days. I was stationed there for 5 months and I loved it!!! How far are you from Augusta? It will be one of my top 3 choices for state side bases when I leave Germany.
Augusta is on the other end of the state from me, 4 1/2 to 5 hours away, unfortunately.
But you can train with Matt Hammond up there, he's into serious dogs and is a skilled and serious trainer who I can recommend
From Warner Robbins it's about 2ish hours to our place for training, not too bad for good training.
I sent the picture...sure you don't want to train with him? That dog does a good job of seperating the men from the boys...
And we have an excellent first aid kit...
I have no one to fully recommend in the New York City area for training, unfortunately.
I do however had a *huge* list of bad trainers and scammers in that area to avoid. Feel free to contact with me when you decide on a trainer and I'll let you know if they should be avoided.
Good luck on your search, and if you come across someone that does a good job at a fair price please share that info with us!
I went to one of his seminars in February and he said he was moving to CA back then so he probably is already in CA. His seminars are definately worthwhile to check out though. The schedule is on his website http://www.loupsdusoleil.com/seminars.html
