Alrighty, the bitch that was bred to the black Mal whelped and we ended up with:
4 males/ 5 females
4 blacks/ 4 fawns/ one......ummmmmm, none of us can really tell yet what the color of the last one is going to be.
It'll be interesting to see what their coat colors end up at maturity.
I'm pretty sure I know what their drive's be like, given their parents. I need a thicker bite suit....
Lori,
We have dedicated threads for members to post pictures of themselves and their dogs, take a look in that thread if you would.
Several computer savvy board members have posted step by step instructions on how to post pictures there, just follow the posted information...
It should also be noted that those very threads are the only ones where posting photos is allowed. Otherwise, a link to a photo is all that is allowed in the general threads.
I got the guy that can get one for you, if you are ever looking for one!! Remco came over from Holland at about 7-8 weeks old. His dad looks just like him, except the's a bit stockier.
Hey Matt I was like you didn't belive it until I got one in a few days ago.....shaped like a Mal, Acts like a Mal so I guess he is a Mal. Good drives and a Killer bite. Nice Dog. I think my wife is gonna steal him! I hate it when that happens
When people get scared they call the police..When the police get scared they call K-9!
My wife told me that not even flowers will sway her to let me get another dog…… something about “I’m not going to have the dogs outnumber the people in my house”. So I’ll have to wait a few years!
I didn’t even tell her I’d want another Mal….. I think I’d end up living outside if I did.
The colour we associate nowadays with mals is the colour prescribed by the RCSH and FCI recognised. Untill 1972 (if i'm not mistaken) the FCI allowed black mals but has since ruled that there schould be only one colour.
KCB has always recognised other coloured mals.
So a black mal isn't necessary a cross with a Groenendael
