What could she really offer? Squat. She paid money for a show dog and got a couple UKC ribbons. Woo Hoo! Big frickin deal! Talk about clueless. I read the thread Cindy linked and it made me want to barf. What a waste of life wading through that crap. Truth be told, I thought her dog was fugly anyway.(Its a Collie, right?)LOL. Too bad his owner is so needy she has to constantly solicit compliments. Selfish beotch.
She is an stereo-typical show dog person (no offense to anyone here that shows dogs), I know a few people that show and they are really cool, however I helped handle some Malamutes one time at a show and some of the "handlers/owners" were downright rude and irritating. She fits that category.
Yep. And her poor, long-haired show dog has typical Am. show dog problems (again, no offense to normal people w/show line dogs)...everything from anal glands to hot spots, etc. EEK. Poor sad thing. Too bad for the dog she won't stick around and learn a few things for HIS sake. Hope he gets better.
It is a bit irritating for all who tried to help the poor creature who didn't have a prayer to have it thrown in their faces when Mommy throws a tantrum. Anyone see "Best in Show????"
What, no hairspray? We can't use hairspray now? Geez...
Sorry Kristel my bad, I forgot along with that special pink insulated dog nail polish for Mike's Dutchie. We do need hairspray to keep those pesty Dobe's ears up!
Hey now! I resemble some of these remarks I show my dogs in conformation. My dog that is getting ready for his SchH next year has 3 majors and needs two single points to finish his CH. He is what I searched for - pretty with a brain
I defend working people at breed shows just like I defend breed people to working people :-) There are bad (or stupid) apples in both bunches.
I will say though that something that irritated me about the initial poster is that she used CH in front of her dog's name instead of U-CH. Her dogs has its UKC breed championship which is a whole different kettle of fish althogether. You can finish a UKC CH in one weekend. Try doing that in the AKC.

Yeah, but Ingrid, you have GREAT DOGS!!! Not to mention you are a great contributor to this board....so.....you do not really resemble those comments to me.

I apologize if I offended anybody with my conformation remark, wasn't my intention. I know it is a lot of work to title dogs in conformation and didn't want to take anything away from people work at that.
Um, no, Ingrid. You do not. We qualified our statements. When your dogs get all fluffy and have the whole gamut of issues that purely show/pet-bred dogs do and you're stupid enough to give US a hard time when we were just trying to help your poor pathetic beast, well, then, maybe you'll resemble those remarks. Until then, NO.
