By no means common, but not unheard of either. I agree that he LOOKS a bit Dogo-ish, but I wouldn't bet that he actually IS. There are several combos that could produce that look.
I agree

Holy Cow!!!!
Capone is only 48lbs!!!!!!!!
this floored me! i was expecting 55 at least!
Well, when i got him, he was pudgy, and wormy, so maybe he was heavier. He is much thinner now, and trimmer. And he is starting to show some muscle definition.....
but wow.
he can barrel into you though.....he is a little tank.

So-Capone lost his manberries today.
And apparently-he has a double ear infection too.
and the vet says he is barely a year old-so he might grow some more-or not.
but after his neuter-i stopped in the petstore to get some snake supplies-and took capone in because he would have been loose in a car(friends car) that didn't lock-and he is just too tempting to steal.....
well-he is fine with dogs, cats and other small animals-but boy oh boy-he saw his first parrot-and wanted to kill it.
At first-he was just interested-and was sniffing the cage-then the parrot literally started taunting him(if you have parrots-you know how they can be) and it tried to bite him-and capone lost it.
i made him leave it-and sit and focus on me-but i could tell he had it in for that bird....
it's a good thing i really don't want a parrot-it wouldn't last very long.

it was quite a scene-he was pulling and growling and chortling at the bird-and the bird was doing it back!
and there i was-capone by his scruff making him look at me-while mr. macaw was still taunting him and whatnot.

LOL! manberries.
My dogs LOVE snow. But the dog I had that loved snow the most, was a foster dog from Florida who had never seen it before. It was his most favouritest toy.
Unfortunately for my dogs, their human isn't into snow as much (but it's way better than mud!)

I have a new question regarding Capone.
All my dogs are crated at night and when i am not home, and some when i am home.
But, i will admit, i LOVE having dogs(well, a dog) in the bed at night.
Capone is great at night, sleeps through teh night in one spot, and doesn't run the cats away. I have woken up to him covered in kitties.
So i am letting him sleep with me.
Will this cause issues, not with him-but with my other dogs?
He will still be crated when i leave. I don't want the others to get jealous, or to be snotty to him because he gets to sleep with me.
Thoughts?

I am a bad mother too. I have always let Widget sleep with me (well, partly because I was hiding him in college and what better place to hide a dog than under the covers, lol). I don't allow dominant dogs in the bed for obvious reasons, but I admit to allowing Simon to sleep with me many/most nights. I haven't had any issues w/him yet. I would be extra cautious though b/c he is a rescue and it's possible that when he becomes more comfortable that he may decide to take other privileges.
I would not worry about the other dogs getting "jealous." It's not jealousy, per se, anyway. YOU make ALL the decisions in that house. I rotate mine all the time-someone comes to work w/me, someone sleeps in the bed (except Caleb-he doesn't sleep :crazy , someone gets to be loose in the house all day. In this way, there is no one who is "neglected" and I don't have any problems w/them having a sense of entitlement (being spoiled brats). I'm fair, I'm consistent, and what I decide is the way it goes.
Yeah, I know, I'm breaking all the rules, but I LIKE having a dog in the bed sometimes.
Bottom line is READ THE DOG and decide if it's only a minor infraction or if it's going to cause BIG problems.
