I noticed the "brown water" too. Upon closer inspection, I think it's just a leaf-filled water bowl the pup was investigating.

hahaha, i haven't been in the back yard in a while, and a random bowl i had out there got a few leaves in it, and some rain water.
She found it right away!!! and drank like she hadn't in months-
wait, she hadn't in months!!!!
so the little girl hasn't pooped since right when i got her(1pm ish), and is still bloated from her earlier gorge, and all the water.
How can i get her to poop, we played and went for a walk and everything....

Mallory, I am NOT usually one to insist on sanitary, "bubble" conditions for pups, but with what these guys have been through, I would NOT let them drink standing water for risk of Giardia, etc. Diarrhea could kill them at this point if you couldn't keep it under control. Their poor little bodies would not be able to recoup. Please be careful until they're out of the woods.

Mallory, a dog can get giardia from standing water, so I'd get rid of any and all standing water right away.
I ditto everyone's anger about what's happened to these pups, and now this problem with their pasterns.
I can hardly wrap my head around what they went through, and then a spay/neuter on top of it. Good grief, people are flat out nuts and fanatical about neutering - couldn't wait until the pups were healthy.

Edit reason: was posting while Jenni was posting, saw Mallory already addressed the standing water issue.

they did decide to wait on the neuter, i thought i posted that.
they are wanting to wait a LONG time, like almost 2 months.well, that's a long time for them, lol.
the pups growth is stunted enough, they don't need to loose hormones on top of that.
but.....i am sure they are going to be very small, like maybe 30-35 lbs full grown, or eve less, the new "teacup" pit bull, hahahaha
maybe THAT'S what those people were going for! it wasn't neglect and abuse, it was striving to perfect the teacup "breed standard".....*rolls eyes*

I'd call and find out if you can when she pooped last. Maybe it was right before you got her.
Is her abdomen hard?

no, she pooped in the car on the way home, they both did.
and she just did now(on my floor, of course )
the poops are solid logs, not too hard, not soft....
her tummy is hard though. but she is up running around and playing, trying to eat my sleeves.
