What are the chances that a club is going to trespass during their trial?
What are the chances that a man who is known to have a nasty temperament would be making trouble?
But this is all just speculation, only the people who were there know the truth about the trespass claims.
The rudeness is obvious.
Just how important can this Gary character be to get away with crap like this?
Why do people put up with him?
I would really like to know the answers to the last two questions.
Hanrahan sounds like a hard case who needs an experienced handler. It probably goes back to when he was a puppy and never had any discipline.
I want to commend the person with the video camera. The man whose voice consistently asked the participants to remain calm. He kept this situation from devolving into something really nasty. This situation could have easily gotten out of control and resulted in violence. This situation was poorly handled by Mr. Hanrahan. The problems I have is Gary knows Rinus, the judge present and coach of the Belgian team(consistently one of the best). Gary knows what a trial looks like. After the years he has participated he should know the rules and etiquette .
For those who know Gary, how do you think he would have responded to someone driving over his tracks at a trial. Would Sch USA and Gary handled that situation differently. I bet they would.
I think I will be less surprised if I woke up with my head stapled to my carpet, then if something more comes of this from USA.
that made me laugh, (head stapled to the carpet)
unfortunately it's probably the truth, I'll be shocked if anything really happens
I think that this will go into the "Kennedy Files", taken down from U tube
and then by folklore we will hear about it....."what trial did he run over
the tracks and almost hit the judge with his van.....na never happened,
people made it up"

Along with that he also said, don't worry, let USA take care of this, or words to that effect.
Hopefully as a club they'll see how well represented they are by SchH USA ( heavy sarcasm there ) and maybe they'll consider organizing under a different SchH organization.
We'd be happy to have their club in DVG, if anyone from that club is reading this....

Yes, Iam reading with interest. Having dealt with "Gary" years ago I cannot believe he is still allowed anywhere near any "Real" Schutzhund Club. Tom DVG member
Certified Working Dog, Service, Therapy, Dog Trainer & Handler
lets set some facts straight. Central Alabama Schutzhund Club had written permission to use the tracking fields. The only pending court case is a criminal court case The State of Alabama vs. Gary Michael Hanrahan. This has already been in front of the judge(Judge Phillip Seay St.Clair county district court) and the judge found enough evidence for a conviction. No penalty was given at my request so that I could compete at the AWDF. It will now go back to court as Mr. Hanrahan has violated the judges orders. The police were called by Mr. Hanrahan during the trial. The police then followed Mr. hanrahan off the property. We re-layed the tracks and continued the tracking portion of the trial this can be seen on the video.
