That's sad and wrong. I will never understand people. I don't understand crossing on purpose (except in a few circumstances and when there is a definite purpose in mind) and I don't understand trying to pass them off as pure. Some people are so unethical it is incredible (not that I didn't know this ... but the depth of the problem never ceases to amaze me).

It makes me glad for the akc dna parentage requirements but I sure wish they'd ratchet it down for bitches as well as lower the number of litters required for dogs. Seems kinda silly to me to not require it.
My neighbor bought a husky from a broker called PIK A PUP and he wanted to breed her, because all his friends and family love her and want one just like her. I told him it was a terrible idea and he got all mad at me.
As soon as he heard about stud fees he gave up. The dog is still not spayed because he can't afford it.

I have seen a GSD and collie mix that was absolutely fabulous. I´m really not a fan of long-haired dogs but I whouldn´t mind owning that dog.
I have had many female frenchie owners come up to me and ask for Porthoses stud service. I am always really friendly- I want to see the pedigree, this result and that result and the dog and if everything fits then by all means, my male would love to breed your female but talk to a vet about the risks of pregnancy and whelping (and that c-sections are common in the breed) and where to get a whelping box and a heat lamp etc. I think that the fact that he has had one breeding, speaks for itself...
I have also had several people ask for Veedas pups. With the biggest enthusiasm I talk about her conformation, temperament, results, pedigree and what sort of male is needed for her and where some suitable ones live (the closest is 1500 km), how much attention pups need, how much they eat and what what a great deal of money it is needed but I am sure it is worth it as the pups would be better and how I want one for myself and then a looong cry about how expensive doberman owning is and how much time and effort it takes but after 2-3 years of strenuous work it finally starts to pay off. Lets just say that I have noone in line for pups...
But then a person walks in the shelter and says he is drowning 7 pups of a litter of 8 if we don´t take them because he has nowhere to put them and his chaindog is pregnant again. Just makes you cry...
