Its funny Amy, but the hardest part of playing around on a forum is asking questions. Most of the questions I've ever asked, probably didnt really make sense. Its a whole different language online and I still find myself confused by what someone may post. Then studies and all the big words, my eyes glaze over.
There's a lot of different personalities in every venue, online, and in real life. Something I think is funny, hurts someone elses feelings. As I look back on old threads, I differ a little with Mike. There's fewer people, but the conversations seem pretty much the same.

There are most definitely a lot of personalities on the forum and beyond. It is so hard to convey emotion, voice tone, or humor over the computer without adding some sort of face symbol at the end of every sentence that genuine concern can easily be taken as bashing and jokes can be taken way wrong even without any mal intent.
BTW: to clarify; my last post wasn't dirrected at you, Steve. You just happened to be the last one posting when I slooowly started to post.

Too bad for the dog though.
Come back Ross, we can work it out!

Have you visited a club yet?
I gave Ross my info so he could come up and check out the Commonwealth club, and so he could have his dog "tested" by Butch like he wanted but still haven't gotten a call or text.

So no he hasen't

Effective communication can be blunt, direct and certainly not what someone may want to hear, but the message will often be lost if delivered with mean sarcasm, ridicule and/or by humiliating a person. Direct and blunt is wonderful--someone knows where they stand, though not everyone is built to take that type of delivery, so, oh, well....However, respect is as equally important as the message being given.
Disregard it, poke fun, start a new thread, or agree. I'm here to learn (and believe it or not, I do have things to offer) but I will remain respectful.
I like this.

I'll probably never own a working dog or compete in anything, but when I have a problem with a foster or my own dog, whether it be behavioral or physical, the Leerburg search engine is my first stop. It's been invaluable to me and my dogs. I don't post a whole lot because I'm one of those "average Joe" pet owners, but I'm a much better one for creeping around here. There's a lot of important stuff that I've learned about here that I never got from my vet or people I've met through rescue.

I think I read on here where one of the moderators said that personal attacks and comments would not be tolerated on this forum and those continuing to do this would be banned.
I learned the hard way that it wasn't worth my time to try to involve myself on here, because every time I did, one of the Smarties on here, had something nasty to say or had a smartass remark. So why bother sticking around, nothing to learn here but nastiness - Randy and Steve.

I have 10 dogs, yes, 10. All of them different breeds, all get along fine, all well taken care of and most of them are completely obedience trained, have earned titles, live in the house. I also have over 20 plus years veterinary training and my mother was a trainer/handler and we have never had less than 6 dogs in our household. Are you going to tell me I have no right to own as many as I have and if so why? I live in unincorporated county therefore, no limit to animals, I could even own a lion if I wanted.

Try to be human once in a while and quit thinking your better than everyone else. Try to remember people come here to learn, not to be made fun of or lashed out at (even tho you think it's in good humor, or they should "pull their big girl or boy panties up"). Try to be helpful and quite running people off - unless this is a private club - and if that's the case, then close the forum and just play with each other, cuz believe me, you all fir each other real well - but not the rest of the environment.

Go ahead Randy, Michael, Steve etc and take pot shots, write some more funnies that everyone else can laugh about. This is why I'm not here anymore. I'm a grownup not small enough to take stabs at everyone else. But remember what the mods said - no personal attacks - or get banned.

Can anyone tell me how well the Doberman gets along with other dogs? I am planning to get one in a year or so, but have 4 other dogs at home. All dogs are altered
 GSD male
 Lab female
 Toy Fox male
 Pom female
 Thanks
 Tami
I haven't read everybody's comments, but I can give you my experience. I have four GSDs, two will kill each other if given a chance. I must use crates and kennels. when you introduce a new dog you've changed the pack structure and the dynamics. If I had to do it over I would not of gotten the two females or rehomed the new female at the earliest opportunity.

Good post Mike. This forum is getting smaller by the day due to a few people that as far as I can tell don't know much about dogs and when you ask for video they get all emotional and make excuses, lol. Too bad.
