well I already gave him a bath, and I didn't see any fleas in the water. We got his head and neck pretty good, because that is where he itches a lot so i figured we should get the area thoroughly. But no fleas that I could make out.
ETA: I've already applied the Advantage Multi so I can't rebathe him.
I've been washing his bedding every couple days and vacuuming daily. Is there anything else that I should be doing? I actually put the pillows that he sleeps on straight into the wash.
I tried searching flea clean or flea cleanup or flea house clean, but the search seems to only think that one word is necessary and I would get like 20 pages of results going back a few years. So then I started googling it and it basically said wash bedding, vacuum daily. A friend of mine also said to fill a spray bottle with water and white vinegar and go around spraying all of the base boards in the house.
Any other suggestions?

What about all of his stuffed animal toys? Should I wash all of them? I probably will just to be on the safe side, but that might be something a lot of people would overlook.

I took them all outside, banged them around, and hung them up in the sun for a few days. Washing them is probably better.

I just started reading that thread. I haven't gotten through it yet but I was wondering- you know how I said that he had that corn chips odor (when he comes out of his crate after a few hours), this is an indication of a possible yeast infection right? Well I completely forgot to bring it up at the vet when I was there on Friday, but since she did a skin scraping for the mites, would she have seen it if he did have a yeast infection? She did a scraping on the top of his head (near where he does the most of his itching), the front of his armpit and one other place, but I don't remember where.
I'm wondering if maybe it's just part of his body odor? My parents have a daschund who has always had that smell after sleeping. My family always called it "EO" for "Eddie odor" as a joke. He is 8 years old now and never been diagnosed with any sort of yeast problems.

It's a pretty distinctive odor. Where (what body area) does it come from?
How is the itchiness?
How is the odor since he was bathed?

Just a few more tips on flea baths... (since I do them daily at work, I've got LOTS of experience with them, unfortunately!)
Start with straight tearless shampoo on the face- just like Connie said, but even higher up. SOAK the ears and around the face as much as possible with the straight tearless shampoo. Then, move on to the rest of the body with your choice of shampoo's.... flea type, or just a regular shampoo. You'll want to to his butt/penis first- IF he's got fleas, they'll go anywhere possible to avoid wet/shampoo. (That includes anus, penis, eyes, ears, and nose) So soak his butt and boy parts in shampoo very well..... then coat the rest of his body, and let is soak for 10 min.
In reality, you don't NEED a flea shampoo for all this IMO- any shampoo will kill fleas if you leave it on to soak for 10 minutes- I believe it dissolves the exoskeleton.

Don't forget to protect the inside of the ears from moisture being introduced.... and particularly when there is a yeast problem starting.

I totally agree with this.
There are more reasons than this for keeping a dog soaking for ten minutes, too. (Medicated anti-fungal shampoos, for example, for yeast overgrowth.) So I keep tiny bits of a very special treat (the "procedure" treat .... I use little bits of real but no-nitrite cooked bacon) set aside for making bath time attractive. I also line the tub so it's not slippery and skiddy, so we can do games on the edge of the tub.
